English in 4A, 4B and 4C

For the classes 4A, 4B and 4C the year in English was marked by a number of competitions. After the Science Fair in March, there was ‘Around the World in 80 words’ as part of Language week. Each student was given a word and they were asked to present a poster containing the definition and…
Each student was given a word and they were asked to present a poster containing the definition and etymology of the word. English has been enriched by languages around the world and the students discovered a rich variety of origins. The photos testify to the quality of work produced. The winners were Yousra Massaq, Tristan Looten, Jad Benjelloun, Oumaima Adardour et Rim Chawki. Bien meritant aussi étaient Rania Sidinou, Dina Ouzzedi, Aya Icame, Fellani, Malak Hajouji, Fatima Ait Oufkir, Zainabe Tadili, Sara Mahmoud Khannous and Zaccaria Laghzal.
Les classes de 4A, 4B et 4C ont participé à plusieurs concours au fil de l’année. Après le ‘Science Fair » au mois de mars, c’était le ‘Around the World in 80 words’ lors de la semaine des langues. A chaque élève a été distribué un mot en anglais et il fallait créer une affiche qui illustrait la signification et l’étymologie de ce mot. Le vocabulaire anglais a été enrichi par les langues du monde entier ; les élèves ont ainsi découvert une surprenante variété dans les origines. Les photos vous montrent la qualité du travail qui a été fourni. Les gagnantes étaient : Yousra Massaq, Tristan Looten, Jad Benjelloun, Oumaima Adardour et Rim Chawki. Sans oublier Rania Sidinou, Dina Ouzzedi, Aya Icame, Mahmoud Fellani, Malak Hajouji, Fatima Ait Oufkir, Zainabe Tadili, Sara Khannous et Zaccaria Laghzal qui ont été félicités pour leurs travaux.
The third competition was for the creation of a board game. As part of a series of lessons entitled ‘Be a smarter consumer’, the students worked on the theme, how do our purchases impact the environment and other people. Designed and explained in English, there were original and sophisticated games which raised awareness in those playing; we had fun discovering them together in class. The winners were Kaoutar Bouras, Ania Bakrim, Tristan Looten and Maria Tibourka, Ghita El Bejjaj and Douaa Goulahsen, Maria Bekkaoui, and Sara Babia.

Le troisième concours s’agissait de la création d’un jeu de société. Lors d’une séquence ‘Be a smarter consumer’, les élèves ont travaillé la problématique suivante : « comment nos achats impactent-ils l’environnement et les personnes ? » Conçus et expliqués en Anglais, les jeux complexes et originaux sensibilisaient les joueurs. Nous avons eu le plaisir de découvrir les jeux élaborés par les élèves en y jouant en classe. Les gagnantes étaient : Kaoutar Bouras, Ania Bakrim, Tristan Looten et Maria Tibourka, Ghita El Bejjaj et Douaa Goulahsen, Maria Bekkaoui et Sara Babia.
