Greetings cards are an important part of Anglo-American culture. Earlier in the year the classes of 2e made and sold cards with the aim of raising money for a local charity.
Each student made at least one card, containing best wishes for the New Year. We then added to these individual creations a series of printed cards. First of all a designed based on a painting from the Association of women painters, Talayte, based in Alma. They kindly donated the use of one of their works, chosen by our students. Then a series of two other designs based on the watercolours of Marie-Amélie Bossart, who generously gave us use of her beautiful paintings.
The cards were then sold in the school, to staff and pupils, and by the students in their neighbourhood. The sale generated 3000 dh which was donated to Center Assays in Inezgane. The Center works with children with disabilities, offering physiotherapy, speech therapy and some schooling to families of modest means.
Les cartes de vœux sont très importantes dans la culture Anglo-américaine. Cette année, les élèves de seconde ont créé et vendu des cartes pour soutenir une association locale.
Chaque élève a fabriqué au moins une carte ; puis nous avons complété ces modèles uniques par, une série de cartes imprimées. La première était celle d’un tableau fait par une association artistique féminine, appelé Talayte, qui se trouve à Alma. Ces femmes nous ont offert gracieusement une œuvre, choisie par nos élèves. Ensuite, il y avait deux aquarelles d’Agadir faite par Marie-Amélie Bossart qui nous a généreusement donné ses productions.
Les cartes ont été vendues à l’école aux personnels. Les élèves les ont vendues à leurs proches. Cette vente a généré 3.000 dh qui ont été remis au Center Assays à Inezgane. Ce centre accueille les enfants handicapés et leurs familles et leur propose des soins en kinésithérapie, en orthophonie et une scolarité adaptée.
